School Resource Officer (SRO) Ahrens was born in the area and raised in the City of Scotts Valley.  He is a proud alumni of Scotts Valley High school and graduated in 2007.  SRO Ahrens attended San Jose State University where he earned a degree in business. After working in the private sector for several years, he decided to pursue a more fulfilling calling in the field of public service and a career in law enforcement.  SRO Ahrens currently lives in the City of Santa Cruz and in his free time, he enjoys staying active and being outdoors getting to appreciate the beautiful area in which we live.
