Department Vehicles

The Scotts Valley Police Department has over 24 department vehicles, representing marked patrol units, Kawasaki motorcycles, and unmarked fleet. Patrol cars are state of the art Ford Crown Victorias, equipped with computer-aided dispatch terminals, HK MP-5 mounted rifles, "LIDAR" radar guns, automated external defibrillator units, and trunks fully stocked with miscellaneous emergency equipment. The Sergeant's unit is fully equipped Chevy Tahoe with a rear rollout command center. Unmarked detective and administrative units also fully equipped, and all police vehicles are serviced regularly to ensure optimum safety and performance.
