POLICE OFFICER RECRUITMENT
Minimum qualifications:
- High school graduation or G.E.D. certificate/equivalent
- Proof of time application that candidate will be 21 years old
by date of hire.
- U.S. citizenship or must have applied for citizenship and will
obtain such within 3 years.
- Record free of felony convictions.
- Must reside (or relocate) within 60 minute drive of the department.
- Possess a valid class C California Driver's license.
- Vision: Uncorrected to 20/40 (20/200 if wearing soft contact
lenses). Corrected to 20/20. Applicants having undergone corrective
surgery must have completed the surgery within one year prior
to time of application and must see 20/40. Applicants must also
have normal depth perception, peripheral vision, and color vision
free of significant deficiencies.
