Sergeant Mark Lopez

On duty since 1989

Mark was hired as a Reserve Officer and part-time Dispatcher in 1989. In 1991 he was promoted to full-time Dispatcher and served as a Dispatch trainer from 1992 to 1999. Mark was promoted to full-time Patrol Officer in 1999. Mark was named Reserve Officer of the Year in 1995 and 1997 and Officer of the Year in 2001 by the Exchange Club. Previous assignments included Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer and DARE instructor for elementary and middle school children. Mark is currently assigned as the departments Juvenile Detective and when not working, he enjoys spending time with his family camping at the lakes.
