WHERE WE HAVE BEEN

The above photo was taken from a Santa Cruz Sentinel article dated March 1, 1970. The caption read "Scotts Valley residents are proud of this old farmhouse, which has been converted into City Hall. Bees and birds sometimes nest in the siding, and the surrounding four acre site is guarded by a banty rooster named Fernando the Great. Police department headquarters lie beyond that door at lower left. The building also houses city administrative office, planning office, city council chambers, building department and accounting." Our department was on the first floor while city hall was located above.
